Garlic is as Good as Ten Mothers

Yes, Garlic is as good as ten mothers.

It is harvest time for onions and garlic here in Georgia which means that all of the foodie folks will be talking about Vidalia onions - as the sweet juicy onions way down south get all of the limelight for the allium genus around here it seems. I recently lucked up and found a guy who grows and sells some mighty tasty garlic at the local farmers market. If you have never had fresh garlic, you are missing out on a real treat. Garlic found in supermarkets could have been sitting around for months. It keeps well but there is a big increase in flavor when it has been out of the ground for just a couple of weeks or so.
